I was still functioning, just about, but I knew something wasn’t right. I think I’d quietly convinced myself that exhausted was just my normal. Esmee helped me see patterns I’d been too close to notice, and we built something that actually felt sustainable. Six months on, I sleep better, I’ve started painting watercolours which was something I’d always meant to try and never made time for and for the first time in years, my days off actually feel like days off.
